Composition for Incident of Long Waiting
Days that feel like they drag on forever are
irritating, but later comical. It really is weird. How can one day feel like it
drags on for centuries (metaphorically speaking)? I have one incident that felt
like that. This is really more than one day, but it’s all along the same topic.
Every time my dad went to Shands to see the neurologist, a hospital in
Gainsville, Florida, I had to usually sit and wait the lobby/hall that
comprised the medical complex of the building. This place, usually bustling
with people from patients to doctors and nurses, became increasingly boring
each time we went. It seemed like the appointments dragged on forever. A few times,
I got to stay at my grandma’s house where I enjoyed watching TV with her to
pass the time. I’ll never forget those days. It was long and hard to sit there
for such times. But, that is in the past, and my lower-attention-span person doesn’t
have to sit through it again. Rejoice!
